First well successfully drilled for Garching a.d. Alz geothermal project, Germany
Geothermal developer Silenos Energy successfully concludes drilling of the first well for the geothermal power project in Garching a.d. Alz in Bavaria, Germany.
Silenos Energy, developer of the geothermal project in Garching a.d. Alz announces having successfully concluded drilling of the first well. The final depth for the well is 3,832 meters.
Drilling reached the target of the water containing Malm-layer. A two-week testing phase is now being started to evaluate the concrete temperature down-hole and the possible production rate.
