GDC plans to drill up to 30 wells for Baringo Silali geothermal project in Kenya

Kenya’s Geothermal Development Company (GDC) has announced plans for drilling up to 30 wells for the Baringo Silali geothermal project.

In a recent interview with Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), Johnson Ole Nchoe, Managing Director of Geothermal Development Company (GDC) reports plans to drill about 30 wells as part of its development plans for the Baringo Silali geothermal project.

The overall cost is expected to be around KSh 12 billion (around $117 million). The company expects to finance this through various sources, with development partners named as key.
