Gradient Resources starts operation of Patua plant in Nevada

Gradient Resources announces that its 30 MW Phase I Patua geothermal power plant near Fernley, Nevada has started commercial operation.

U.S. developer Gradient Resources has announced this week, that its Patua project in Fernley, Nevada has started commercial operations.

The company has so far not provided further details. The project started construction during the third quarter of 2011. In December of 2012, the company closed a $155 million financing. It is being constructed in two phases with the first phase now having started operation with an installed capacity of 30 MW. The power is sold under a power purchase agreement to the Sacrament Municipal Utility District.
