Geothermal drilling specialist North Tech Drilling will be providing consultancy and supervision for designated drilling projects of HS Orka.

Power company HS Orka has signed an open contract with North Tech Drilling (NTD) that will see NTD provide supervision and consultancy for drilling activities, as well the necessary planning and preparation needed prior to the start of designated HS Orka drilling projects.

The first of HS Orka’s projects to be supervised by NTD will begin in April, at the Reykjanes Power Plant.

A subsidiary of the Icelandic company North Tech Energy, NTD prides itself on the geothermal drilling experts which make up its highly experienced team. The company specialises in providing energy companies with proficient and sustainable geothermal drilling solutions around the world.

HS Orka is the leader in production of renewable energy in Iceland. HS Orka owns and operates two geothermal power plants on the Reykjanes peninsula in addition to a run of the river hydro plant.
