IGC Turkey Geothermal Conference – Program released for World Bank Workshop, 22 May 2017

This year’s IGC Turkey geothermal congress will take place 22-24 May 2017 in Izmir, Turkey. Co-hosted by the World Bank through its ESMAP program, the event will feature a special World Bank Geothermal Workshop.

The World Bank through its ESMAP program is co-hosting this year’s IGC Turkey – the Geothermal Congress in Turkey, taking place 22-24 May 2017. event.  With a special emphasis on financing and funding, IGC Turkey features a special World Bank Geothermal Workshop to be held 22 May 2017.

The workshop will provide attendees with opportunities to learn about how the World Bank is supporting risk mitigation and project finance.

The World Bank Group is a multilateral organization headquartered in Washington, D.C., whose members include most of the world’s countries. The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA).

The Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP) is a global knowledge and technical assistance program administered by the World Bank. It provides analytical and advisory services to low- and middle-income countries to increase their know-how and institutional capacity to achieve sustainable energy solutions for poverty reduction and economic growth. ESMAP is an integral part of the Energy and Extractives Global Practice of the World Bank.
