Initial Call under Mexican Geothermal Financial Program declared void
On September 12, the General Directorate of the National Institute of Electricity and Clean Energy, notified of the Judgment of the Call for the Mexican Geothermal Financial Program, which declares the tender process to be void. The administrative act was chaired by Dr. Georgina Izquierdo, as Director General of the National Institute of Electricity and Clean Energy.
The Financing and Risk Transfer Program for Geothermal Energy in Mexico (PGM) is aimed at mitigating risks and mobilizing investments in geothermal exploration and early drilling. The PGM was launched by the Ministry of Energy, National Finance, SNC, IBD, the National Institute of Electricity and Clean Energy, with the help of the Inter-American Development Bank.
The technical and economic proposals presented by the companies in the bidding process, were all disqualified since none of these reached or exceeded 70 points of score, established as a minimum score in the bases of the Call. The proposals received were:
- ENAL Aeropuerto II
- ENAL Morelos-Paredones
- Geotérmica Derrumbabas
- Geotérmica para el Desarrollo Domo San Pedro
- MEXXUS RG EL OCOTILLO
