Participation for the mission is free for a limited number of Italian representatives. UNIDO ITPO will cover the costs of accommodation and local transport for the participants. Those interested in joining the delegation may fill up the online membership form.

The mission intends to offer participants new opportunities for investment, technical and commercial collaboration  in the geothermal sector with Kenyan counterparts through seminars, matchmaking sessions and visits to strategic geothermal plants, including those of Olkaria and Menengai.

Aimed at accelerating inclusive and sustainable industrial development and promoting collaboration in the sector between Italy and Kenya, the initiative is implemented as part of the project  “Fostering International Partnerships between companies and/or institutions operating in the Energy and Environment sectors”  (#FIPEE) implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy with the support of  the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security (MASE).

In 2022, UNIDO ITPO hosted the signing ceremony of a partnership agreement between the Italian Geothermal Union (UGI) and the Geothermal Association of Kenya (GAK).
