Job – Geothermal Business Development Associate – 12 month FTC, UK

CGG’s Geothermal Science group in the UK is seeking to hire a Geothermal Business Development Associate in the UK.

UK-based CGG, a pioneering Technology Company providing fully integrated Geoscience services globally with around 4,000 people working for the company, is seeking to hire a Geothermal Business Development Associate in the UK.

CGG’s Geothermal Science group is a multi-disciplinary team of geoscientists and data scientists with a combined experience of over 130 global geothermal projects. CGG has a long established position in high-enthalpy geothermal projects and we are currently leveraging our sedimentary basin exploration and data analytics experience to expand into this high growth area of geothermal.

The successful candidate will be responsible for improving and growing the Geothermal business, by fostering and developing relationships with current and new clients and other partners, expanding the business through developing its reputation and reach, and increasing profitability through strategic planning and positioning in the market.

You will be expected to plan and execute a business development strategy with a global reach whilst identifying new business opportunities – including new markets, trends, customers, products and services. Having an excellent understanding of CGG Geothermal and associated products and services will be essential for this to be successful.

The appointed individual will work alongside subject matter experts to prepare and present business development materials, thinking strategically and considering the bigger picture to develop and improve business. Liaising with the Commercial Team you will generate leads to a proposal stage, guiding leads through this stage and back to client engagement through to award.

Part of the role will include discussing a promotional strategy and activities with the CGG corporate marketing department and collaborating on specific campaigns.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to BSc level in geological/geophysical sciences, but ideally with an additional MSc or PhD in a Geothermal discipline, as well as proven extensive experience in their key discipline in a Geothermal Operating company or Geothermal consultancy.

Client relationship management skills are key, we need an individual who is able to generate and manage a schedule and meetings, including face to face or virtual client meetings. As a large part of the role involves project management, this must be a demonstrable area of strength.

Some international travel may be required for the role so the ability to do so is needed.
