Job – Geothermal Project Expert, Bestec GmbH, Germany

Germany-based internationally operating renewable energy project development company BESTEC GmbH with a focus on geothermal energy is seeking to fill a position for a Geotheraml Project Expert (m/f/o). BESTEC GmbH is based in southwest Germany, close to the border to France. For 20 years the company has developed, led and participated in numerous geothermal projects in Europe, Asia and America. The fields of activity are widespread and include

• Geophysics and geology for exploration,
• Well planning and supervision
• Production pump installation
• Power plant design and installation
• Geochemistry
• Micro-seismic monitoring
• Power plant maintenance
• Research activities in various fields such as drilling technology, geochemistry and seismology.

We are looking for:

A Geoscientist or Engineer (m/f/o) with a broad range of interests who is prepared to work collaborative within a multidisciplinary team.

Start of employment: May 1st to July 1st, 2021

Our candidate:

• should be flexible and be willing to participate to field operations. Such operations will also require working for periods of time abroad;
• should have experience in deep drilling and geothermal well testing;
• should be able to plan geothermal well tests, evaluate the well test data and perform hydraulic modeling;
• should understand geothermal power plant technology;
• should be able to communicate in very good written and spoken English;
• should be willing to take responsibility and initiative;
• should be interested and willing to become acquainted with new assignments.
