Job: PostDoc researcher – MEET Project/ EGS, geothermal, TU Darmstadt, Germany

The Technical University of Darmstadt’s Geothermal Science and Technology group has announced an opening for a Postdoctoral researcher. The position is part of the MEET project `Multidisciplinary and Multi-context Demonstration of EGS Exploration and Exploitation Techniques and Potentials.

The Geothermal Science and Technology group (Prof. Dr. Ingo Sass) in the Department of Materials and Earth Sciences at Technische Universität Darmstadt in Germany invites applications for the position of a Postdoctoral researcher starting as soon as possible.

The vacancy is part of the MEET project `Multidisciplinary and Multi-context Demonstration of EGS Exploration and Exploitation Techniques and Potentials´ funded until January 2022.

The main goal of the project is to demonstrate the viability and sustainability of EGS with electric and thermal power generation in all kinds of geological settings with four main types of rocks: granitic (igneous intrusive), volcanic, sedimentary and metamorphic with various degrees of tectonic overprint by faulting and folding.

The fulfillment of the duties likewise enables the scientific qualifications of the candidate. Preparatory work for a habilitation is actively supported.
