Leading power generation company with considerable presence and portfolio in South East Asia is seeking to fill a position for a Technical Director of Power with experience in coal and geothermal power.
Leading power generation company with considerable presence and portfolio in South East Asia is seeking to fill a position for a Technical Director of Power.
The company are looking to bring on a Technical Director of Power and will include responsibilities in Business Development, Project Development, Project Structuring, Fundraising and Project Construction among others, with a focus on Renewable and Thermal power.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Identifying and securing greenfield P&I development opportunities.
- Analysing greenfield development projects including conducting technical and financial feasibility studies.
- Running / managing tender processes.
- Participating in commercial negotiations of Power Purchase Agreements and other infrastructure off-take agreements.
- Fundraising activities of either both debt and equity in the capacity of a Technical Advisor to a Lender or Owner’s Engineer to a developer.
- Participating in the complete end-to-end development of a project from feasibility, financial close, development, commissioning and operations.
- Feasibility, design and construction of power projects
Desirable attributes:
- Previous experience working with hydropower projects
- Previous experience in South East Asia
- Msc Degree
The successful job applicant must:
- Have a Bsc degree in Engineering
- Have 25+ years’ experience in the Power/Energy sector
- Have 10+ years’ experience in a senior role in the development of power projects
- Be willing to re-locate to South East Asia.
- Be fluent in written and spoken English.
Have previous experience with Coal and Geothermal power
