Eden Geothermal is seeking to hire two drilling support engineers for its drilling campaign at the Eden Project in the UK.

Eden Geothermal Ltd has published to open positions for two Drilling Support Engineers to provide support to the Drilling Manager and Drilling Supervisors during the development of our first geothermal well at the Eden Project.

EG-1 will be a deviated well, drilled to 4,500m TD in granite, and will be the first phase of a two-well system to provide heat and power. Drilling and well-testing will take place from March – August 2021.

These are temporary fixed-term contracts for 6 months, in line with the drilling and well-testing programme. The successful applicants will work a shift rota of 4 days on / four days off, including weekends, 08:00 – 18:00 hours.

Salary: GBP 35,000 p.a. pro rata

Applicants should have a minimum Bachelors degree or equivalent in an engineering, natural sciences, geology, other STEM or operational subject, and at least 2 years’ experience on drilling rigs in the oil and gas or geothermal sectors.

The posts are part of a project co-funded by the European Union through the ERDF, Cornwall Council and an institutional investor (Gravis Capital Management Ltd).
