Jobs – Head of Center of Excellence for Geothermal, Baseload Capital

Swedish investment entity Baseload Capital has announced a job opening for the position of “Head of Center of Excellence for Global Geothermal Project Development.” Those who are interested may apply via the official job posting.

As the Head of Center of Excellence, the chosen candiate will coordinate project development activities and secure that work is performed with high quality and increased predictability to become the best in class globally. In alignment with the Operational Development Director, Country Managers, and other stakeholders, the Head of Center of Excellence will:

• Build, lead and manage accountability of a virtual team of subject matter experts within geothermal project development and operations;
• Identify, secure and manage partners to secure competence in all relevant areas of geothermal development;
• Define and secure the execution of exploration plans;
• Define and educate in current industry best practices as well as develop and implement new industry best practices;
• Drive the work to define what the future of geothermal project development looks like and the steps to get there.

Baseload Capital is looking for the following qualifications in an idea candidate:

• A master’s degree in a relevant field (geosciences or engineering);
• +10 years of industry experience, preferably including experience as a Geothermal Resource Manager or similar • Experience in building and leading teams, preferably in a matrix organization;
• A comprehensive commercial understanding of Geothermal project development;
• Experience managing P&L;
• A comprehensive understanding of the different disciplines and aspects of developing a Geothermal Project;
• A superpower
