Kick-off Webinar for 7th round of GRMF facility, June 22, 2021

The GRMF Programme for East Africa will be hosting a Kick-off Webinar for the 7th application round on June 22, 2021 – Registration open until June 18, 2021.

The Geothermal Risk Mitigation Facility for East Africa (GRMF) has issued an invitation for a Kick-Off Webinar for its 7th Application Round.

The Geothermal Risk Mitigation Facility (GRMF) was established to fund, facilitate, and accelerate geothermal development in eleven partner countries in the Eastern African Rift region in 2012. It is hosted and managed by the African Union Commission (AUC). Funding is provided by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) together with the EU-Africa Infrastructure Trust Fund (EU Africa ITF) via KfW Development Bank (KfW), and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). Since its launch in 2012, the GRMF conducted a series of Application Rounds to identify eligible and bankable projects and to determine appropriate project funding levels. The 6th Application Round ended in January 2021. The GRMF programme has a total funding volume of approximately USD 125 million.

The Webinar for the 7th application round will take place on 22 June 2021, 02:00 pm to 4:30 pm (Addis Ababa time (GMT+3)).

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, the meeting will be held as a webinar.
