Mariposa Project in Chile plans exploration drilling by October 2015

ENERCO is a Project JV for the Mariposa geothermal power project in Chile. In the joint venture with Alterra Power. Energy Development Corp. (EDC) holds 70%.

Sources close to the project state now that the company aims to start an exploration drilling program with a minimum of two (2) wells at the site commencing on October 2015.  The rig will move to the first well pad after 15 September 2015, depending on weather and road conditions, to spud the first well by October 2015.

Should ENERCO consider the drilling of the initial two wells to be successful, a third well may be drilled in 2016. In case these three (3) wells will be successful to the satisfaction of ENERCO, ENERCO intends to hold the rig on standby over the 2016 winter period and recommence drilling of up to three (3) further wells from October 2016.  ENERCO also considers continuing with the drilling of three (3) further wells during 2017-2018 summer period.
