The Ministry of Environment and Energy in Greece has launched the draft of a new geothermal law dealing with research, exploitation and management of geothermal resources in Greece. The draft is now open for public consultation.

On July 19, 2018, the Minister of Environment and Energy of Greece, Mr. George Stathakis, launched a draft law entitled “Research, exploitation and management of the geothermal potential of the country and other provisions” in public electronic consultation and invites all citizens and the actors to participate by submitting their proposals.

Views and proposals submitted will be taken into account to improve the proposed arrangements.
