Montelago project to start drilling this week

Emerging Power Inc. (EPI) will start the drilling campaign for its 40 MW Montelago geothermal power project in Occidental Mindoro, Philippines. Drilling company is Iceland Drilling with support of Icelandic ISOR.

Reported on a wider news release by Nickel Asia, it has been announced that Emerging Power Inc. (EPI) will start drilling for the 40 MW geothermal power project in Montelago, Occidental Mindoro this week.

The company has engaged Iceland Drilling Corp., an Icelandic geothermal drilling specialist. At the airport today, I even met staff members of Iceland GeoSurvey (ISOR) on their way to supervise the activities.

As part of the project, EPI has awarded the EPC contract to a Spanish-Italian consortium that includes ORC power plant supplier Turboden, a daughter company of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
