New editor for PiensaGeotermia, ThinkGeoEnergy’s Spanish-language platform

Established in 2012, ThinkGeoEnergy’s PiensaGeotermia platform has been reporting on geothermal activities for the Spanish speaking world. The site has accompanied our daily reporting on ThinkGeoEnergy since its inception and remains a cornerstone of our activities.

With plans to expand our coverage and engagement with the geothermal energy sector in Latin America and Europe, through the platform and its presence on the LinkedIn social media platform, we are pleased to announce a new editor.

Oscar Llamosa Ardila, is a geologist based in Colombia, South America-based with a broad background in geology, geoscience, business development, and supporting organisations such as the International Geothermal Association and the Colombian Geothermal Association. He follows on the footsteps of Carlos Jorquera, who has been a trusted partner and editor of PiensaGeotermia since 2016 and will remain part of the ThinkGeoEnergy team. We would like to thank Carlos for his contribution and support through the years.

We are looking further to connect with stakeholders in the Spanish-speaking world, be it developers, researchers, geothermal associations, suppliers, investors, and others. Piensa Geotermia remains a valuable tool in highlighting geothermal activities and news on the geothermal market in the Spanish-speaking region and beyond.

With Oscar at the helm, we expect steady growth of the Piensa Geotermia platform and sustained engagement with our audience and partners. We will also be expanding our activities on research, reporting and promotion of what geothermal energy has to offer for Latin America and the world.
