NV Energy RFP for up to 330 MW of renewable energy in Nevada

NV Energy, the largest utility company in the State of Nevada, has released a request for proposals for up to 330 MW of power generation capacity from renewable energy projects, including geothermal.

NV Energy is seeking up to 330 megawatts of additional long-term renewable energy to advance its commitment to clean energy for Nevada.

This 2018 Renewable Energy Request for Proposals also provides bidders the opportunity to propose supplemental battery energy storage systems that deliver at least 25 megawatts in short-term capacity. Details can be found in the 2018 Renewable Energy RFP Protocol Document, but key highlights are:

Aligned with legislative and regulatory guidance, NV Energy will evaluate the proposals based on the economic benefit to Nevada, on job opportunities in Nevada and on the best value to NV Energy’s customers. All bids are required to be submitted electronically to NV Energy using PowerAdvocate. (See below)

NV Energy reserves the right to supplement, amend, cancel or otherwise modify this Request for Proposals with or without the substitution of another RFP.
