Sharing here pictures from a field trip to the 48 MW Cerro Pabellon geothermal power plant in the Andes, Chile.

In November 2017, as part of an IGA Board Meeting we had the chance to visit the 48 MW geothermal power plant of Cerro Pabellon by Geotérmica del Norte (GDN), a joint venture by Italian Enel Green Power and Chilean National oil company ENAP.

Situated in the Andes mountains at high elevation, it was a remarkable experience visiting the plant. Thanks go to Guido Cappetti, General Manager of GDN and Diego Morata of the Andean Geothermal Center of Excellence (CEGA) for making this visit possible.
