State-owned PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE) and PT PLN Gas and Geothermal (PLN GG) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on a Joint Study for the Development of Geothermal Power Plants before the year end of 2020.
CEO of Subholding Power & New Renewable Energy Pertamina, Heru Setiawan welcomed this agreement. With this agreement, the two parties will conduct a joint study on the development and optimization of geothermal energy utilization in the PGE and PLN working areas, starting from the Ulubelu Area, Lampung and the Lahendong Area, North Sulawesi.
“We hope that the synergy carried out by PGE and PLN can have a positive impact on geothermal development in Indonesia,” Heru said this week.
This Memorandum of Understanding aims to synergize the potential of each company in the development of a Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP) in the working area of state-ownedPGE and PLN.
