Power utility in Nevada, NV Energy seeking 350 MW in renewable power proposals

The power utility NV Energy in the State of Nevada in the U.S. has issued a request for proposals for up to 350 MW in renewable energy projects and supplemental battery energy storage systems, including geothermal power projects.

In a release last week, NV Energy – power utility in the State of Nevada/ U.S. has announced that it is seeking up to 350 megawatts of additional long-term renewable energy and supplemental battery energy storage systems to advance its commitment to clean energy for Nevada. The Request for Proposals includes geothermal power projects.

This Fall 2018 Renewable Energy Request for Proposals also provides bidders the opportunity to propose supplemental battery energy storage systems.

Aligned with legislative and regulatory guidance, NV Energy will evaluate the proposals based on the economic benefit to Nevada, on job opportunities in Nevada and on the best value to NV Energy’s customers. All bids are required to be submitted electronically to NV Energy using PowerAdvocate. (See below)

NV Energy reserves the right to supplement, amend, cancel or otherwise modify this Request for Proposals with or without the substitution of another RFP.
