RFP – Geothermal development strategy in Lakeview, Oregon

The town of Lakeview in Oregon has issued an RFP for strategy development for geothermal energy use in the town’s commercial-industrial corridors.

The Town of Lakeview in Oregon, U.S. has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the project: “LAKEVIEW ECONOMIC AND GEOTHERMAL EXPANSION: Developing A Commercial-Industrial Geothermal Energy Engagement Strategy.”

The deadline for proposals will be on the 15th of September 2023, while questions can be submitted until the 25th of August 2023. More details are available on the official RFP document.

The Town of Lakeview is one of 39 recipients selected by the Oregon Department of Energy to receive Community Renewable Energy Grant Program funds. The program supports the planning and construction of renewable energy or energy resilience projects. The Town of Lakeview was awarded USD 100,000.

The objective this project is for the town of Lakeview to engage in geothermal heat and power procurement for Lakeview’s commercial-industrial corridors. Lakeview sits atop a known geothermal resource area, and this geothermal heat and power procurement project will cover a number of project initiation tasks specific to the conventional hydrothermal development of that resource area.
