Seminar on geothermal and energy transition, SPE Aberdeen, 25 January 2022

The upcoming webinar by SPE Aberdeen highlights the opportunities for oil and gas professionals in a developing geothermal industry

The UK-based Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Aberdeen is hosting its first-ever geothermal seminar on 25th January 2022. This is a virtual event aimed at oil and gas professionals. Those who are interested in participating may already register thru this link.

The event is titled “An Opportunity to Explore the Role of Geothermal in the Energy Transition…And Beyond!” It aims to highlight the potential of the sector and the opportunities for oil and gas professionals. In the UK, geothermal is described as being “not even in its infancy” but has the potential to supply all of the nation’s heating demand.

SPE is the largest individual-member organization serving professionals in the oil and gas industry. The Aberdeen Section of the SPE is one of the largest in the world with over 2500 members. Members range from drilling engineers, operations specialists, HSE practitioners, and other professionals.
