Short video introduction on the GRMF by Elin Hallgrimsdottir of Mannvit

In this short video introduction, Elín Hallgrímsdóttir of Icelandic engineering group Mannvit, provides some overview on her company and her work on the Geothermal Risk Mitigation Facility (GRMF) for Africa.

Icelandic engineering group Mannvit has been providing technical consultancy to the Geothermal Risk Mitigation Facility for Eastern Africa (GRMF)

GRMF supports surface research and drilling in first stages of geothermal projects. Eligible countries to the fund are; Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi, Comoros, Djibouti, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea and Zambia.

The Facility is funded by German and international development banks, and its role is to mitigate risk in the first stages of geothermal projects.

On the sidelines of the African Rift Geothermal Conference in Addis Ababa/ Ethiopia earlier this month, I was able to take this short video piece with Elín Hallgrímsdóttir of Mannvit, who has been working on the GRMF program on behalf of the company.
