El Diablo restaurant in Lanzarote (Spain) has a Grill that uses the heat from a dormant volcano.

There are various types of utilisation of geothermal energy. Power generation, heating, swimming, spas, food-dehydration and more … but one thing that never comes to mind is using lava for a BBQ.

We have seen efforts by cooks made in Iceland at volcanic eruptions to cook meals on top of glowing lava, but this permanent structure for a grill in Lanzarote is special and a great showcase for “geothermal energy – the power from the earth”.
