Turkey has opened tender for 7 new geothermal license areas

Turkey’s General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration (MTA) has opened the tender for seven new geothermal license areas, to be tendered by closed envelopes and following negotiations.

Reported by our Turkish sister publication JeotermalHaberler last week, the Turkey’s General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration (MTA) decided that the 7 licensed geothermal fields, which are the result of the exploratory studies, will be tendered in closed envelopes and negotiated by negotiations.

The announcement for the issue was published officially last week. According to this, for the Nevsehir- Kozakli-Karahasanli and Nevsehir-Kozakli-Özce geothermal areas to be tendered by the MTA, tenderers will be able to submit their final offers until July 13th at 11 am.

The tenderers will be able to submit their final offers for Eskisehir-Merkez-Türkmentokat, Kayseri-Incesu, Amasya-Merzifon-Osmanoglu, Adana-Ceyhan-Narlik and Amasya-Merzifon-Uzunyazi areas until July 27th at 11.00.

Tenderers will give temporary security for not less than 50 thousand liras for each licensed area.  Thus, in total 7 licensed geothermal fields will be tendered in closed envelope tender and negotiations will be negotiated by making negotiations. If the Commission finds it necessary, the tender can be completed by auction.
