U.S. Geothermal eyes other potential project in Oregon

U.S. Geothermal energy is looking at another potential geothermal exploration project in Malheur County in Oregon not far from its existing operations at Neal Hot Springs.

U.S. Geothermal has signed an agreement with Malheur County officials in Oregon on exploration on potential new project for the company.

The company has identified a 133 acre property that it plans to explore for its geothermal resource potential.

It will pay a small amount upfront, in addition to an annual lease running for at least 10 years.

“The county also would receive royalties for any geothermal resource produced and sold for the generation of electric power or other uses.”
