U.S. Senate committee hearing to examine geothermal energy development

A Geothermal dream team will share its view on geothermal energy at a U.S. Senate Hearing that is to examine geothermal energy development, June 20, 2019.

The U.S. Senate in Washington, DC has scheduled a Full Committee Hearing to Examine Geothermal Energy Development (in the United States). This follows the recently published GeoVision report by the U.S. Department of Energy, that highlights the great opportunity of deployement of geothermal energy in the U.S.

The hearing will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. EDT in Room 366 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington, DC.

The purpose of the hearing is to examine opportunities and challenges for advanced geothermal energy development in the United States.

The hearing will be webcast live on the committee’s website, and an archived video will be available shortly after the hearing concludes. Witness testimony will be available on the website at the start of the hearing.
