ThinkGeoEnergy – Geothermal Energy News

Webinar – Accelerating Geothermal Projects with GreenFire Energy’s GreenLoop, March 17, 2023

Join this webinar with Dr. Andreas Kaus, from Baker Hughes, for new insights on GreenFire Energy’s development of a closed-loop geothermal test facility that aims at transforming dry-nonproductive geothermal wells and non-productive oil and gas wells into geothermal wells for the production of electrical power.

Live from this year’s IGC Invest Geothermal in Frankfurt (Main), Enerchange and ThinkGeoEnergy are proud to share the presentation of Dr. Andreas Kaus, from Baker Hughes, who provides insights on GreenFire Energy’s closed-loop test facility, the GreenLoop.

After the presentation you will have the opportunity to discuss and ask further questions.

Dr. Andreas Kaus currently works as Technical Sales Lead for Baker Hughes Reservoir Technical Services. Andreas has been with the company for almost twenty years now, gaining experience in the fields of radiation protection, reservoir navigation, geomechanics, reservoir engineering and geothermal heat flow modelling. At the same time, the doctor of planetology has founded the so-called ‘Georadar’, a company working on the management and implementation of Ground Penetrating Radar and Electrical Resistivity Tomography projects.

By developing and implementing innovative geothermal technology, GreenFire Energy is accelerating the world’s transition to clean, continuous renewable energy. The GreenLoop™ developed for this purpose is a closed-loop technology that extracts and transports heat from deep in the earth to be used for power generation. Thus, the GreenLoop technology is proving its adaptability to access the wide range of geothermal resources. This flexibility is enabled by GreenLoop’s proprietary resource and project analysis models, which allow for accurate evaluation of potential projects and optimize GreenLoop’s ability to generate energy from a variety of geothermal resources without depleting the resources.
