Webinar – Breakthrough clean and safe GeoHeatTM harvesting, Sep 2, 2022

Join this webinar with Dr. Ghazal Izadi from Geothermic Solution Inc for insights on the breakthrough technology GeoHeatTM harvesting.

As part of the regular IGC Webinar series – a partnership of Enerchange and ThinkGeoEnergy – we are proud to host Dr. Ghazal Izadi, Vice President Reservoir Management and Market Strategy of Geothermic Solution Inc, who will provide further insights on Geothermic Solution’s GeoHeatTM harvesting technology.

After the presentation you will have the opportunity to discuss and ask further questions.

Dr. Ghazal Izadi currently is the Vice President Reservoir Management and Market Strategy of Geothermic Solution Inc, a startup company that develops technology for harvesting the Earth’s hard rock heat from depths between three and seven kilometers and temperatures over 300 degrees Celsius. Before joining Geothermal Solution Inc, Dr. Izadi had senior technical roles at Baker Hughes within the unconventional oil and gas as well as the geothermal domains. Due to her technical background as well as due to her Ph.D. from Penn State University, Dr. Izadi has gained broad experience in computational geomechanics, fluid transport in fractured and porous media, applied rock mechanics and Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS).

The need to combat the environmental effects of fossil fuel dependence is becoming ever more evident and urgent. Clean, renewable energy sources like solar and wind are helpful, but they are also intermittent. The earth’s heat, by contrast, is available 24/7, making it an ideal provider. To take advantage of this potential, Geothermic Solution has developed the GeoHeatTM harvesting as a breakthrough solution to cleanly and safely harvest heat from deep rock formations. Thereby, the closed-looped system can be implemented in almost every country on earth and is predictably steady, with a negligible environmental impact beyond installation. It does not need water, nor does it extract matter, liquid or solid, from the earth. Instead, it delivers heat to the surface from the inexhaustible supply of thermal energy present in the rock formation directly below our feet. Importantly, Geothermic Solution’s GeoHeatTM harvesting is also free of the major drawback of conventional geothermal energy extraction—reliance on large reservoirs of hot water deep underground, which are found in only few places and are often rapidly depleted.
