Webinar – Geothermal solutions for decarbonizing district energy – June 2, 2020

Training symposium on “Envisioning and Implementing geothermal solutions in district energy systems in the U.S. by the International District Energy Association, June 2, 2020 -02:00 pm ET.

The U.S. based International District Energy Association has published an invitation to a webinar on “Envisioning and Implementing Geothermal Solutions for Decarbonizing District Energy” – June 2, 2020 – 2:00 to 5:00 pm (ET).

As communities, cities and towns and campuses pursue strategies for meeting their decarbonization goals, they are exploring the opportunities provided by both open and closed loop geothermal systems in decarbonizing heating and cooling systems.

The Training Symposium will present the highlights of the U.S. Department of Energy’s GeoVision analysis, and opportunities to expand geothermal energy deployment by improving technologies, reducing costs, and mitigating barriers and quantifies the technical, economic and market potential of low-temperature geothermal district heating systems in the United States.

A panel discussion of experts and system owners on Getting Geothermal Right will provide insights into the many dimensions needed to successfully implement geothermal systems, including design concepts, integrating into existing district heating networks, rightsizing, planning and phasing for future growth, stakeholder management, financing and operations and maintenance.

Attendees will take-away
