Traditionally, the technical program of the World Geothermal Congress is held on site in a myriad of parallel sessions never allowing attending all the presentations you want. This year in its electronic format it is completely different.

It will feature 18 hours of material in four parallel tracks with 9 sessions in each track. Each session will have 6 pre-recorded presentations followed by a 30 min live Q&A session. This makes a total of 216 presentations. And the fantastic thing about it is, you don’t have to worry missing anything … you can go into the system up to a year after the event and access all the presentations and the recorded Q&A sessions.

With the set-up, WGC will start at 8:00am UTC (Iceland), going for 18 hours, you will always find a day time opportunity to log in. But the availability any time after the event makes this quite unique.

The technical program has been split into five days all set up under a different theme. For the first day on April 13, 2021 the overarching theme is “Business & Environment”.
