World Bank supporting Armenia on geothermal investigation

The World Bank includes a US$ 1.5 million grant for conducting investigations on geothermal energy in an Armenian financial package.

With the recent doubling of its support to the country of Armenia, the World Bank also includes a US$ 1.5 million grant for conducting investigations on geothermal energy.

The first phase of the Geothermal Project in Armenia intends to support the feasibility of exploratory drilling of the site with high geothermal potential. Components are 1. Field investigation and 2. Operating costs. The total project cost is estimated at US$ 1.8 million. This is a consulting opportunity and can be accessed via devex.com.
