Applications open – Autumn School on deep geothermal, Stavanger, Norway
Applications are being accepted for the Autumn School on deep geothermal by the Geothermal Alliance Bavaria taking place in University of Stavanger, Norway.
The Geothermal Alliance Bavaria (GAB) is pleased to announce the Autumn School 2024, an exceptional opportunity for young scientists and doctoral students to enhance their knowledge in future energy technologies. This year’s event will take place from November 11th to 12th at the University of Stavanger, Norway, in conjunction with the European Geothermal Workshop (EGW) 2024.
The Autumn School will focus on “Future Energy Technologies: Deep Geothermal Energy, CCS & Hydrogen Storage” providing participants with an in-depth understanding of these emerging fields. The program includes four intensive sessions featuring lectures on current topics and applications, as well as exercises and panel discussions. More detailed information are in the Poster & Program of the Autumn School.
The focus on Future Energy Technologies is crucial for equipping doctoral students and young professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to address the pressing energy challenges of today and tomorrow. As the demand for sustainable and clean energy sources grows, understanding and advancing technologies such as deep geothermal energy, carbon capture and storage (CCS) and hydrogen storage becomes increasingly important.

Application Information:
- Who Can Apply: Young scientists and Doctoral students in the fields of geosciences and engineering.
- How to Apply: Submit your CV and a motivation letter (max. 1 page)
- Deadline: Applications must be send by September 15th, 2024.
- Participation: Limited to 30 participants.
- Cost: Participation in the Autumn School and the European Geothermal Workshop (EGW) 2024 is free for students. However, participants must cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.
