Deep Geothermal ETIP invites expressions of interest on Steering Committee membership

The Deep Geothermal European Technology and Innovation Platform (ETIP) is inviting interested parties to submit an Expression of Interest to become member of the ETIP’s Steering Committee for the period 2017-2020.

The deep geothermal ETIP was launched in March 2016. Since then, a provisional Steering Committee of the deep geothermal ETIP manages the technology platform and its working groups.
The Geothermal ETIP is an open stakeholder group, including representatives from industry, academia, research centres, and sectoral associations, covering the entire deep geothermal energy exploration, production and utilization value chain.
The deep geothermal ETIP has now launched an Expression of Interest procedure for membership of the Steering Committee 2017-2020. The members will be selected for a period of three years by a Selection Committee, consisting of members each from industry, research and policymaking.
All members of the platform can declare their candidature through an application form addressed to the secretariat. Candidates are elected by the members of the ETIP-DG present at the meeting in which the election is held.
“The deep geothermal ETIP has become an important tool for our sector to develop a roadmap for our technology. The Steering Committee is driving the Technology Platform forward”, says current deep geothermal ETIP chairman Ruggero Bertani. “We want a strong Committee, which can really make an impact. I therefore invite geothermal experts from all over Europe to express their interest in serving on the deep geothermal ETIP Steering Committee.”
Expressions of Interest must be sent to the deep geothermal ETIP Secretariat by Monday, 6th of February 2017.
Selection of the SC members will take place during the general Assembly held in Offenburg on the 16th of February 2017.
