Expanding the geothermal industry in LAC region – GEOLAC webinar recording Webinar promotion
Alexander Richter 11 Sep 2020

Is the time ripe for expanding the geothermal energy industry in the Latin America & Caribbean region was the key theme of a recent webinar for the GEOLAC congress, which will take place Sept. 15-17, 2020.

Teeing up the discussions that will take place at the Geothermal Congress for Latin America & the Caribbean (GEOLAC) Virtual next week, four household names came together on August 26, 2020 for a webinar discussion to assess the prospects for geothermal against the backdrop of a pandemic and fiscal crises across the region. The conclusion? The industry needs to find new ways to market itself and make a case for geothermal, not just as a source of power but, as a driver of economic revitalization.

Listen to the recording here.

Panelists:

  • Dr. Marit Brommer, Executive Director, International Geothermal Association (IGA)
