Pertamina has started final tests of its 30 MW Karaha Bodas geothermal power plant in West Java, Indonesia.

Reported by local staff, the 30 MW geothermal power plant of Karaha Bodas in West Java, Indonesia is undergoing final tests and is already supplying power to the grid.

The plant has been in development on and off since the 1990s and a EPC contract for the construction of the plant was awarded to Alstom back in 2015 with an initially planned start of operation in the end of 2016.

We are awaiting for official confirmation that the plant officially started operations.
