Geothermal Development Company (GDC) of Kenya has posted several job openings for individuals wishing to join their Management Team.
Geothermal Development Company (GDC), Kenya’s government-owned geothermal company, is looking for applicants for its management team.
Manager, Information Communication & Technology
Responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) policy, strategy, and procedures, and shall be responsible for the delivery of Information Technology services to the company
Responsible for the transportation requirements of the company, as well as the acquisition, leasing, maintenance, management, and security of the company’s facilities and assets
Responsible for management of general administrative services for the company including Cleaning Services, Telephone Services, Hospitality Services, and Registry Courier and Postal Services.
Manager, Infrastructure Development
Responsible for the design, planning, and development of infrastructure projects to support the company’s drilling operations.
Manager, Geothermal Resource Management
Responsible for the management of geothermal reservoirs and production processes to ensure their efficient and sustainable utilization. This will involve management of fluid collection and reinjection systems and power generation plants, as well as provision of advice on resource development with regards to the geothermal expansion plan and ranking of geothermal fields.
Manager, Geothermal Resource Assessment
Responsible for management of surface geoscientific field exploration projects and sighting of potential geothermal wells, with provisions for geothermal resource monitoring and consultancy services.
Manager, Corporate Planning & Strategy
Responsible for formulating and developing the company’s annual plans, strategic plans, and business proposals, as well as the assessment of the financial and economic viability of new and existing business opportunities and projects.
Responsible for the planning, implementation, management, and evaluation of company projects
Manager, Human Resource Services
Responsible for the development and review of HR Policies and Procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and government circulars. The successful applicant will also be responsible for the management of labor relations, design and implementation of staff motivation and retention programs, coordination of mainstream initiatives, and reward, compensation, and welfare management.
Responsible for providing internal legal advice on matters affecting the company and its employees, for providing guidance on statutory compliance, for providing and managing litigation services, for ensuring that agreements are properly negotiated, documented, and registered, and for ensuring the custody of key legal documents.
Manager, Risk & Quality Assurance
Responsible for the development and implementation of a Risk and Quality Assurance framework that ensures appropriate management of risks and controls to meet external, internal, and regulatory requirements.
