Russia to invest US$ 100 million into Nicaragua, among others into geothermal

Russian investors are interested in the production of hydropower, wind and geothermal, according to the Russian Ambassador to Nicaragua.

Reported in Nicaragua, Russia will invest some US$ 100 million dollars in renewable energy projects and participate in the tendering of a telephony project, said the Russian ambassador in Managua, Igor Kondrashev.

Russian investors are interested in the production of hydropower, wind and geothermal, the diplomat said the online magazine Voice of the Sandinistas.

Kondrashev also announced the arrival  batch of 450 buses purchased at a cost of eight million dollars and the donation of two helicopters for humanitarian operations, valued at $ 15 million in Managua.

He also informed that start operations here airline Aeroflot with the route Moscow-Havana-Managua.

The Russian company Yota Mobile WiMAX is the favorite to win the bid for the conventional telephony, mobile and internet access to broadband at a public event that made the Nicaraguan Institute of Telecommunications (Telcor) this Friday.”
