In this short video, Seequent interviews staff members of Icelandic geothermal energy utility Reykjavik Energy on its background of geothermal energy utilisation and data use.

In this great short video, NZ- software house interviewed Hildigunnur Thorsteinsson and Bjarni Reyr Kristjansson of Reykjavik Energy, the geothermal energy utility in Reykjavik, Iceland on the background of the company’s utilisation of geothermal energy.

Starting as a water business in the early 1900s, the company then pushed geothermal district heating in the early 1930 and is now likely one, if not the largest geothermal district heating supplier. With that history and background an incredible experience has been gained  with constant work continuing in understanding the resources and technology.

In utilising data in 3D models of geothermal resources, the company is utilising Seequent’s Leapfrog 3D modelling software.
