An interesting take on a recent visit to the Ormat Steamboat Complex in Washoe County, Nevada by a group of journalists.
At a recent press event and trip to the Ormat Steamboat Complex in Washoe County, Nevada, a group of journalists was shown the geothermal plant and provided with details on how geothermal energy has been developed in the state of Nevada.
In an article with ArsTechnica, one journalist writes about her visit and how she describes her experience and what she learned about geothermal is interesting. She also posted a series of interesting pictures.
She quotes Karl Gawell, the Executive Director of the Geothermal Energy Association in the U.S. and Bob Sullivan, VP at Ormat Technologies. The article also describes on how the success in Nevada is believed to be able to spread across the rest of the Western United States.
