Join this webinar with Thomas Garabetian, Senior Policy Advisor at EGEC, for an insight on geothermal and sustainable finance.

As part of the regular IGC Webinar series – a partnership of Enerchange and ThinkGeoEnergy – we are proud to host this week’s presenter Thomas Garabetian, from EGEC, who will discuss the European framework on sustainbale finance regarding the geothermal industry.

After the presentation you will have the opportunity to discuss and ask further questions.

As Senior Policy Advisor of EGEC, Thomas Garabetian is primarily focused on adapting and promoting geothermal energy to European climate and energy policies. Thereby, he also contributed to EGEC’s involvement in various European projects regarding the financing of geothermal projects and sustainable finance in general. Before joining EGEC, Thomas Garabetian gathered experience by working on European affairs for local authorities in energy transition as well as by his backround in the economics of climate change adaption at the Institute for Climate Economics.

With the proceeding of the European framework for sustainable finance, many questions considering finance within the geothermal industry are raised. Currently, the main questions for the industry are first to understand the meaning of the new challenges in terms of reporting requirements and second how this may support project developers for an improved access to finance.
