Women in Geothermal (WING) is seeking applications for its Future Leaders Cohort, a program focused on developing female leaders and supporting the increased presence of women in business and community leadership roles.

Women in Geothermal (WING) is currently accepting applications for the 2021-2022 Future Leaders Cohort! They would love to have you join this great group that will help you on your path to leadership in the geothermal industry!

The Future Leaders Cohort brings together current female geothermal professionals to share experiences that focus on developing female leaders and supporting the increased presence of women in business and community leadership roles. The program facilitates the sharing of experiences, tools and insights with other women seeking leadership roles.

The cohort is a year in length with monthly virtual meetings.  Program activities include:

  • meetings with current leaders sharing their career path to date, motivations, and goals;
  • round table discussions on the type of knowledge and skills required to be a leader;
  • plan development to build a leadership pathway for each attendee; and
  • the opportunity to build relationships with other geothermal professionals looking to move into leadership roles.

Future leaders are encouraged to submit an expression of interest to participate in the forum. Approximately 12-15 future female leaders from within the geothermal industry will be selected. Please send the following items as pdf to info@womeningeothermal.org:

1. A cover page including:

(a) applicants full name,

(b) home country, (if you are currently living in a country other than your home country, please note this as well for time zone purposes),

(c) email address,

(d) contact phone number,

(e) number of years of experience in the geothermal industry

(f) number of direct reports (if any)

2. A copy of your CV (less than 5 pages)

3. A maximum 300 word paragraph on why they think the advancement of women is important.

4. A maximum 300 word paragraph on why they think they should be chosen as a future leader.

5. Two letters of endorsement from a work related person i.e. your supervisor, work colleague, client, industry leader, mentor &/or sponsor etc endorsing your capability and qualities as a future leader in our industry.

Criteria for Future Leader:

  • Less than 2 direct reports.
  • Career aspirations of moving into a leadership role in the next 3-7 years.
  • At least 5 years’ experience and a maximum of 15 years as a working professional.
  • Current member of WING working within the geothermal industry.

All application packages must be submitted no later than 5:00pm EDT on Friday May 28, 2021.
