Zambia is going to commence work on the development of a renewable energy resource map that would help investigation for a geothermal project by developer Kalahari Geothermal Energy Company.

To help renewable energy development in the country, the Zambian Ministry of Mines, Energy and Water Development is commencing development of a renewable energy resource map and would help continuing supporting investigation for a geothermal project by development company Kalahari Geothermal Energy Company.

The opportunities, so Kalahari, lie primarily in binary geothermal power options due to the low enthalpy systems within Zambia.
