Both companies have been working together acquiring synergies for the last two years and now wish to develop their joint efforts further.

In a recent press release from GNS Science, it has been revealed that GNS Science from New Zealand and Philippine geothermal company Energy Development Corporation (EDC) will be partnering to work together in several projects worldwide.

The same news source reports that this is not a novel idea since, the two firms have “worked closely under an existing agreement for the past two years with GNS Science providing specialist advice for Philippine geothermal developments at home and in South America.” In these last 2 years, GNS has been providing expert advice and training for EDC in order to increase the performance of active geothermal developments.

On the other hand, “EDC provides our staff with experiences that are not available in the New Zealand geothermal environment. Some of this new knowledge can then be applied at home to enhance New Zealand’s energy production,” Mr Johnston said, Business Development Manager at GNS Science.

Both companies are very interested in developing further projects in the Philippines and worldwide.
