Alexander Richter

Alexander leads ThinkGeoEnergy's strategic direction, research design, and partnership development. A global geothermal strategist and thought leader, he brings nearly two decades of experience in market intelligence, strategic advisory, and sector development. He founded ThinkGeoEnergy in 2008 to drive data transparency and visibility for the global geothermal sector. A former investment banker focused on geothermal energy, he has since worked with industry clients, investors, and institutions on market strategy and policy. Alexander served as President of the International Geothermal Association (2016–2020) and continues to advise public and private stakeholders on advancing geothermal as a core pillar of the energy transition.
