The drilling for the Cerro Pabellon project is expected to take up to 34 months with Petreven as chosen drilling contractor for the project.

Already reported in September 2015, drilling contractor Petreven (established in 1998 in Venezuela) signed a drilling contract with Enel Green Power for the supply of drilling services in the geothermal site of Cerro Pabellon.

The project aims to drill approximately 20 wells at the mountainous project site. The value of the contract is approximately USD 40 million and has a duration of 34 months. The rig that will be used is manufactured by Drillmec and is part of the innovative HH series with hydraulic technology that best suits the works of this kind.

Petreven is part of TREVI GROUP, to which also drilling rig provider Drillmec belongs.
