EOIs for experts to join KenGen's Board of Geothermal Consultants will be accepted until 20 April 2022.

Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) has issued a call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for six experts to reconstitute the company’s Board of Geothermal Consultants. Interested bidders are advised to submit their EOIs before 20 April 2022, 10:00 AM local time.

KenGen is seeking to engage with five international experts and one local expert in any of the following disciplines:

  • Drilling and Logistics
  • Field Exploration and Development
  • Environmental Management and Coordination
  • Power Plant Development
  • Reservoir and Steamfield

The engagement will be for a period of four years. Additional details on eligibility and EOI requirements are indicated in the tender document that can be accessed here.

KenGen PLC is the leading electric power generation company in Kenya. Construction of the Olkaria I Unit 6 power plant (as we reported) increased the geothermal power generation capacity of KenGen to 796 MW.
