Albioma has entered into exclusive negotiations with Turcas Petrol A.S. with a view to acquiring a second Turkish geothermal power plant, located in Aydin Province.

This transaction will be completed in the coming months, subject to a number of conditions precedent, including prior issuance of the necessary licenses by the relevant regulatory and competition authorities.

The acquisition of this power plant, which has an installed capacity of 18 MWe, is entirely consistent with the Group’s strategy to strengthen its position in the geothermal energy industry and roll out its expertise internationally.

ThinkGeoEnergy believes the plant to be the 18 MW Kuyucak JES 1 geothermal power plant.

Albioma is an independent renewable energy producer, supporting the energy transition with renewable energies (biomass, solar and geothermal). The Group operates in Overseas France, Metropolitan France, Mauritius, Brazil and Turkey.

In January 2021, the group acquired the 13 MW Gumuskoy geothermal power plant also  in the Aydin region in Turkey,

Albioma is listed on the Euronext Paris exchange (compartment B) – Eligible for SRD, PEA & PEA-PME and forms part of SBF 120 and CAC Mid 60.
